Clinical Research Groups

The MHRN Clinical Research Groups have been established in priority areas identified by the Department of Health. Each group comprises a multidisciplinary group of leading academics, carers, clinicians and service users convened and chaired by an internationally recognised researcher.

Aims of Clinical Research Groups
• To supplement the work of the Clinical  Research Hubs, providing the creative drive of the Network.
• To develop a programme of research to facilitate understanding of key scientific issues, as well as developing evidence for effective practice.

Terms of reference and structure
Each Clinical Research Group is expected to turn research ideas into funded studies that are suitable for running on the MHRN. Groups are funded for a fixed term of 2 years, with possible renewal on a competitive basis. To read the specific selection criteria and terms of reference for clinical research groups click here.

Applications to be a Clinical Research Group
Calls for clinical research groups will be made in November each year for submission of applications the following February. If you wish to receive information about future research groups calls please email your name and email address to mhrn@iop.kcl.ac.uk
