Contracts & Finances
If the project involves money being distributed amongst more than one organisation then the MHRN Coordinating Centre can organise the contractual and financial arrangements.

Project set up
Provide advice and a single point of contact for coordinating all research governance set up including National Research Ethics Service (NRES; formerly COREC) approval and R&D approvals within the network

IT – Secure Data Entry System (PsyGrid) 
The MHRN hosts and manages an electronic data entry system called PsyGrid.  It is available for use by all studies and trials that are adopted by the MHRN.  The PsyGrid system offers the following capabilities:

• multi-centre remote electronic data collection;
• highly configurable security system employing Role Based Access Control;
• fully customisable data set definition including data elements, validation rules and scheduling;
• fully configurable online randomisation with email and SMS text message notification;
• project management reporting including recruitment, completion and UKCRN accrual;
• choice of NHS or academic hosted system.

The MHRN provides support for the whole study life-cycle including:

• full study set-up and implementation of electronic data entry forms;
• fully hosted and managed by the MHRN with hub-based support;
• training through online tutorials or class-based hands on sessions.

Progress Mapping
The MHRN has developed a system to regularly monitor project progress and recruitment rates. This is highly efficient in identifying any problems early thereby maximizing the chances of an effective solution.

Dissemination
The MHRN facilitate publicity for projects at every stage: at set-up; during recruitment and following completion.
