The MHRN is measured against an agreed set of performance measures which means we can make an organisational commitment to facilitate the delivery of mental health multi-centre research studies to target and on time.
MHRN Add value for industry:
• Offer protocol input at the project development stage to ensure expedient study set-up
• Provide access to an NHS patient population and to a dedicated, experienced and trained workforce
• Assist with practical arrangements for local research governance approvals
• Offer the opportunity to run feasibility and small “proof of concept” phase II studies in clinical populations
• Help to forge links with international networks for multinational trials
• Monitor recruitment and facilitate joint problem solving between network and sponsor if/when difficulties arise
• Promote trials on a national level
The MHRN is well established to support Phase III and IV studies and now wishes to encourage Phase I and II work.
The ‘badging’ of studies by the MHRN and UKCRN comes with the assurance of value to the NHS and may be attractive to potential participants.
The MHRN works with the Scottish MHRN, MHRN Cymru and MHRN Northern Ireland. More information can be found here.
The MHRN follows the UKCRN's procedures and policies for feasibility and adoption.
